Is the drone a gimmick?
It's functional. It flies for about 5-7 minutes per charge, perfect for quick selfies, establishing shots, or short follow-me videos.
How do you control it?
You can pilot it using joysticks on the phone screen, or use hand gestures (like waving to make it back up, or holding up a peace sign to take a photo).
What happens if the drone battery dies?
It has a 'Return to Home' feature and will automatically fly back and land near the phone when the battery drops to 10%.
Is the camera on the drone good?
It has a 50MP main sensor with digital stabilization. It's excellent for social media, though not as stable as a heavy, dedicated DJI drone.
Does the drone record sound?
No, the propellers are too loud. The phone records audio from the ground and AI syncs it with the drone's video.
Is the phone heavy?
Yes, at 245g, fitting a drone inside adds significant bulk and weight to the device.
Is the phone waterproof?
Because of the large port required for the drone to deploy, the phone is only IP54 splash-proof.
How does the drone charge?
It slides back into the chassis of the phone and charges directly from the phone's 5500mAh battery.
Is it wind resistant?
It is very light, so it is meant for indoor use or calm days outside. Strong winds will blow it off course.
Can you buy replacement drones?
Yes, if you lose or break the module, Vivo sells replacement drone units that pair instantly with the phone.
